Kai Cenat Fortnite Skin Icon Series outfit is available only when it rotates into the Fortnite Item Shop, and it has returned many times since launching in September 2025. This guide covers when it released, what it costs, what’s in the bundle, how often it comes back, and how to avoid scams.
When was the Kai Cenat Fortnite skin released?
The skin launched on September 12, 2025, during Chapter 6, Season 4. One source reports the Item Shop release came with the daily refresh at 5 PM PT. Trackers that use UTC list the date as September 13, 2025, which explains the one-day discrepancy you may see online.
The timeline leading up to it:
- August 17, 2025: Kai Cenat teased a big announcement, and one report says Fortnite’s official account replied “Leaked.”
- August 18, 2025: the design was revealed in a showcase on the Las Vegas Sphere.
- September 12, 2025: the skin and cosmetics released, alongside his Mafiathon 3 subscriber marathon according to one report.
How much does the Kai Cenat skin cost in V-Bucks?
The outfit costs 1,800 V-Bucks, and the full bundle costs 3,500 V-Bucks, according to the Fortnite wiki and a fan tracker. Many pre-release articles predicted 1,500 V-Bucks for the skin and about 2,200 for a bundle. Those were estimates based on earlier Icon Series launches, and the listed prices turned out higher. If you see the older numbers, they’re outdated.
| Item | Reported price |
|---|---|
| Kai Cenat outfit | 1,800 V-Bucks |
| Kai Cenat bundle | 3,500 V-Bucks |
Prices can shift, so trust the figure shown in your own Item Shop.
What is included in the Kai Cenat bundle?
The Kai Cenat set is reported to contain 10 cosmetic items, including multiple outfit styles and several accessories. A fan tracker puts the set at 10 cosmetic items, and the Fortnite wiki lists a bundle version that includes Air Jordan 4 Retro OG “Bred” kicks. Coverage around launch described:
- An outfit with multiple styles, including a LEGO Fortnite version
- A signature emote
- A back bling and a pickaxe
- A second Kai Cenat skin, according to GameRant’s report on the two-skin collaboration
One guide also lists a hamster companion and a Mercedes-AMG vehicle. Since I couldn’t confirm those on a second source, treat them as unverified and check the bundle preview in the Item Shop before buying.
How do you get the Kai Cenat outfit?
Buy it from the Item Shop when it’s listed. Steps:
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop.
- Search the Icon Series section for “Kai Cenat.”
- Choose the outfit alone or the bundle.
- Confirm the purchase with V-Bucks.
If it isn’t there today, you have to wait for a rotation, as Epic doesn’t provide an alternative purchase route.
Is there a Kai Cenat skin code?
I found no official redeemable code. Websites promising free codes or generators are a common scam, and you should never enter your Epic login on a third-party site. The legitimate free route was the launch-week Icon Cup: GameRant reported that top players in each region could unlock the skins, and everyone who scored 8 points earned the Any Means Possible spray. That event took place on September 12, 2025.
Is the Kai Cenat skin coming back to Fortnite in 2026?
It already has, repeatedly, and it will likely keep rotating. The Fortnite wiki shows 24 Item Shop appearances through July 8, 2026, with runs in late November 2025, around the new year, early April 2026 and early July 2026. A separate tracker, Fortnite.GG, lists 28 appearances and a last-seen date of September 4, 2026.
Those fan-tracker numbers also suggest an average gap of about 13 days between returns and a longest absence of 92 days (4nite.site). Treat that as a guide to the pattern, not a promise, since the sources don’t match exactly. Epic doesn’t announce return dates for specific items in advance, and Dexerto noted when the skin launched that there’s no telling when an Icon skin will return after it leaves.
My read: this is not a one-time, never-returning cosmetic. If you missed it or the 1,800 V-Bucks price isn’t comfortable now, waiting a few weeks is a reasonable plan. Just don’t count on a fixed date.
When is the Kai Cenat skin leaving Fortnite?
It leaves when its current Item Shop run ends, which is usually after a few days. The Fortnite wiki shows several recent runs lasting about three to four consecutive days. To see the exact timer for the current listing, check the countdown on the item in your in-game shop. If it isn’t listed, the skin isn’t in the shop right now.

How does the Item Shop work?
The Item Shop is Fortnite’s rotating store, and it refreshes daily at 7 PM ET (4 PM PT). I’m confident about the daily rotation, but note that the launch-day coverage mentioned 5 PM PT for this skin, so double-check your local time. Items are generally available for a limited window and then removed, which is why Icon Series cosmetics feel scarce. Epic Games uses V-Bucks as the in-game currency.
What is the Kai Ninjago Fortnite skin release date?
That is a different character. Kai from LEGO Ninjago arrived on December 11, 2025, as part of the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey NINJAGO update. He was exclusive to the LEGO Pass, which cost 1,400 V-Bucks or could be unlocked through Fortnite Crew, and included both a LEGO style and a human Fortnite style. A second part of the update followed in April 2026, with a teased new Kai design. The Ninjago Kai has no connection to Kai Cenat.
Why did Epic Games make this skin?
Kai Cenat has long been tied to Fortnite through his Twitch streams. Epic Games’ Icon Series is built around creators and celebrities, and Cenat joined a roster that includes Ninja and others. Reports describe him as a record-setting Twitch subathon streamer, and the launch was timed to his Mafiathon 3 stream. The pairing gave Epic a big live audience on release day.
